Claim numbers are issued by your insurance company at the time you report your accident. Just jot it down and bring it in with you when you come in to begin the repair process, we will do the rest.
Yes, we are open 8-12 Saturday (and 7-6 Monday – Friday).
Absolutely. We order your vehicle’s parts once the estimate is approved by your insurance company or whomever is paying the claim. Next, we schedule your vehicle for drop-off a couple of days later unless your vehicle is found unsafe to drive, then we would help you arrange for a rental vehicle as soon as possible. This enables us to provide quicker turnaround time.
No. A car is a total loss only when the price of repairs exceeds the insurance company’s determined value of your vehicle. Nowadays, most cars are built using unibody (frame and body as one) construction. Our highly skilled technicians, with the aid of our state-of the-art computer measuring system, can return your vehicle to its original factory specifications. If it is determined that the frame section is bent beyond repair, that section can simply be replaced.
Today’s modern factory finishes incorporate multiple layers of highly specialized paints. We have made a major investment in the finest paint system available and constantly upgrades its technology and equipment to ensure that each vehicle’s paint matches. We take special pride in our ability to match factory finishes as the final step in the restoration process.

The BodyWorks History:
The BodyWorks Super Collision Center in Baxter, Minnesota, was founded in 1996 by Stewart C. Mills Jr., a visionary with a deep passion for the automotive industry and for honoring his family’s history. The journey in the body business began years earlier for the Mills Automotive Group, where Stewart C. Mills Sr. sold Hupmobiles and Chevrolets in the 1920s, and had a body shop on the top floor of the historic Lively Building in downtown Brainerd, Minnesota. As a young man, Stewart C. Mills, Jr. proudly learned to ‘pound fenders’ in that body shop!
Stewart C. Mills Jr. loved all things automotive, yet was particularly drawn to auto body repair. His dedication led to the creation of The BodyWorks, a state-of-the-art facility committed to high-quality repairs and high-quality guest service. As a tribute to his family’s automotive heritage, the shop’s logo features a 1925 Hupmobile!
